Samsung is doing something that is extremely unexpected from a third-party Android company. With “Third-Party” we mean any company out of Google using their operating system. Today, the South-Korean behemoth is rolling out November 2019 security patch to the Galaxy S10 units in Switzerland. That’s something that we can expect from Google and their Pixel smartphones, but it’s strongly unusual by third-parties, especially from Samsung.

This rather surprising move comes a few days after the company has rolled out an update with October security patch. The update was first reported by SamMobile, a source that is very familiar with Samsung news. According to the report, the update bears the G97*FXXU3ASJG version number and arrives for Galaxy S10 units inside Switzerland. Apart from the November security patch, there’s no more information about this update.
One interesting thing to notice is that all the recent One UI 2 beta updates are coming with the November security patch. So, it seems that the company is now bringing it to users on the stable branch. It’s a good sign from a company that has been plagued in the past by the ghost of fragmented software. Apparently, One UI development team is doing a great job by establishing and improving Samsung’s software department.
