Just yesterday, a promotional poster leak on Weibo gave us insights regarding the upcoming Oppo A8, A91, and the Reno 3 series. And now, the A8 has been spotted on China’s TENAA listing a couple of days back revealing some more details along with images.
Oppo has a launch event set for December 26 to unveil its first wave of dual-mode 5G smartphones starting with the Reno 3 series. But the company also seems to has a plan to launch two new budgets smartphones – A8 and A91 by the end of this year. Both these phones surfaced yesterday (with theie respective monikers) on the web for the first time and now one of them, A8 is again spotted on TENAA indicating imminent launch in China.

According to the TENAA listing, the Oppo A8 will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone will feature a triple camera setup consisting of a 12MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP and a 2MP sensors. Whereas, on the front, it will come with an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Sadly, the phone will run Android 9 Pie and will feature a Micro-USB port in 2020. But fortunately, it will have support for microSD card to further expand the storage up to 256GB.
On the other hand, the previous leak revealed the Oppo A8 to sport a 6.5-inch display and a 4,250mAh battery. We expect the company to launch the device anytime soon.
