At Oppo developer conference, Liu Bo, vice president of Oppo announced that the company will launch an IoT enablement platform. This is called the HeyThings IoT protocol and audio interconnection protocol. He also revealed that Oppo Smartwatch and health platform will also arrive in the first quarter of 2020. This is the first-ever smartwatch from Oppo. From the current information, the upcoming Oppo smartwatch will focus on health services.

According to Liu Bo, Oppo’s vision in IoT is to build a multi-terminal and cross-scenario IoT ecosystem. Focus on core categories and cover four scenarios: personal, family, travel, and office. Oppo will launch the HeyThings IoT protocol, which can achieve multi-protocol compatibility, local connectivity, and multi-brand interconnection. The company will also release protocol documents, SDKs, and modules to help faster access to IoT products.
Secondly, it will also launch the HeyThings IoT service platform. This will include product development, service customization, and data operation. All these will arrive in the first quarter of 2020.
Finally, the company hopes to unveil an audio interconnection protocol. This should enable the connection of third-party smart headphones and Oppo phones. However, this device will arrive in June 2020. It will also come with advancements like quick pairing and power display.
