Oppo 80W SuperVOOC charging feature gets exposed

We can say that along with bezel-less display and big batteries, fast-charging has been one of the hottest trends in the industry. Oppo already unveiled 66W fast-charging tech with the Oppo Reno Ace, and apparently, we will soon see Oppo 80W Super VOOC charging tech in action. This new bit comes right after a leak indicating that the upcoming Nubia Red Magic 5G will come with whooping 100W fast charging. Now, it seems that Oppo will along with Nubia be the leading companies in the fast-charging territory.

Gizchina News of the week

The report has popped up on the internet courtesy of the Chinese leakster who goes by the name Digital Chat Station. The Chinese leakster has posted a picture of an Oppo smartphone charging via this 80W fast-charging tech. Unfortunately, there’s still no much details about this fast-charging technology, but we believe that it may appear in a future Oppo Reno smartphone.

The next Oppo smartphones in line for launch are Oppo Find X2 and X2 Pro. However, the company’s VP, Brian Shen, confirmed that both smartphones will ship with the company’s 65W SuperVOOC charging. For that reason, the new 80W fast-charging tech might not come before March.

Oppo 80W SuperVOOC can charge a 4,000mAh battery in just 20 minutes.

Worth noting that Realme teased this technology in September last year. According to the company, 80W SuperVOOC can charge a 4,000mAh battery in just 20 minutes. Oppo 80W SuperVOOC definitely is a promising technology that may finally appear in a smartphone this year.
