Apple iPhone 9 Plus: Key Features, Specs
This is the first time that we’re hearing about the Plus variant of the iPhone 9. As per the recent emerging report, the iPhone 9 Plus aka iPhone SE 2 Plus will feature a full-screen display without FaceID support. We’re looking at the screen size of somewhere in the middle of 5.5 to 6.1-inches. Since there is no FaceID support, the company is bringing back the fingerprint sensor which is obvious. What’s not obvious is the side placement of the fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor will be integrated inside the power button. This is the first time we will be seeing this approach from Apple. Lastly, the phone will make use of the LCD panel to keep the price down to an affordable category.
With that said, we should also see A13 Bionic chipset in the Plus variant as well. As of now, we don’t have any information on the material choice, phone dimensions and more. Since this is the first exposure, the information is quite limited. We’re expecting more leaks and rumors to hit the rumor mill in the coming months.
Pricing, Launch Timeline
The report further reveals the expected launch timeline of the iPhone 9 Plus. As per the report, the Plus variant of the affordable device will launch as soon as the end of 2020 or early 2021. Sadly, there is no information on the expected pricing at the time of writing this.
