Japanese manufacturer, Sony, quietly release the Sony Xperia L4 which is a mid-range smartphone. The Xperia L4 comes with a waterdrop design but the bezels are still quite significant. However, this smartphone retains Sony’sĀ 21:9 movie format full-screen feature which it uses for its flagship models. The resolution of the screen is 720P HD+ with a side fingerprint recognition. The phone uses a smooth plastic body that has a better grip but is slightly inferior to glass.

Sony Xperia L4 features a 6.2-inch LCD display and the notch on the front houses the selfie camera. In the camera department, the Sony Xperia L4 comes with an 8MP sensor on the waterdrop notch. On the rear, we have a triple camera setup with an LED flash. All sensors are aligned to the left of this device. The specific configuration includes a 13MP wide-angle (phase focus) camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Since this is a mid-range smartphone, there are not many surprises in the core configuration. The Sony Xperia L4 comes with a MediaTek Helio P22 processor. This is a mid-range chip and its performance is similar to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 SoC. Supporting this chip is 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, this smartphone retains the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
As for the battery capacity, this smartphone comes with a 3,580 mAh. This is quite average and although the company says it supports fast charge, there is no specific information in that regard.Ā Nevertheless, it is an improvement from the 3,300 mAh battery which the Xperia L3 uses.
