The latest 2019 global wearable market report released by the International Data research agency IDC shows that Xiaomi is the largest Chinese smart wearable brand in 2019. The Chinese manufacturer is only second to Apple globally. Globally, Apple ranks first with a market share of 31.7%. Xiaomi is second with a share of 12.4%. Samsung, Huawei, and Fitbit ranks third to fifth with a market share of 9.2%, 8.3%, and 4.7% respectively. IDC Wearable report for 2019 shows that in the Chinese market, Xiaomi and Huawei ranks first and second respectively.

Apple successfully acquired wearable brands such as Beats. In addition, it has been pretty consistent with updating its Apple Watch product line and AirPod. Thus, it is not a surprise that the American manufacturer is the world’s largest wearable brand with shipments in 2019.
In terms of the growth rate of the smart wearable market segment, IDC Wearable report shows that the growth rate of the smart bracelet and smartwatch markets is 37.4% and 22.7%, respectively.
Wearable devices are important hardware products for Xiaomi’s AIoT business. At present, Xiaomi has a couple of wearable product lines. These include Xiaomi Band, Xiaomi Watch, Mitu Children’s Watch, and Xiaomi True Wireless Bluetooth Headset. According to the latest data from the Xiaomi Group, as of September 2019, the number of active IoT devices (excluding smartphones and laptops) on the Xiaomi IoT platform is approximately 210 million units. This is a 62% year-on-year increase.
