Although the official release date of Meizu 17 hasn’t been officially announced yet, Meizu fans appear to be going crazy about the handset, sharing new possible designs of the upcoming flagship almost on a daily basis; along with their very strong opinions.
Meizu 17: What will the Smartphone Actually Look Like?
Just yesterday, we reported about the Meizu 17 coming with a different design from what we were used to see (image above). More specifically, the smartphone appeared to feature an horizontal camera setup with three rear shooters as opposed to the “ring” camera module we had seen in the previous weeks.
Additionally, always according to Meizu fans, the smartphone “has” to pack four cameras and they don’t seem to like that the render looks a bit asymmetric; thus it has to be fake.
Meizu 17: What will the Smartphone Actually Look Like?
The Meizu 17 is currently one of the most awaited phones in China. We did indeed first talk about it back in the end of 2019; but since then we’ve not seen any official data. The only other important update came on February 16th, when a Meizu employee teased the device by saying that “The Meizu 17 will go all out to overcome all difficulties”.
Gizchina News of the week
A few days later, a Weibo user revealed that the Meizu 17 series will use a rear four-camera setup; along with a single punch-hole at the front. While renders have kept coming out bringing each time a new take at the next Meizu flagship. So, basically, we still have no idea what the smartphone will look like. Will it be any of the ones wee se below?
Specs wise, many suggest the handset will be packing a now mainstream 90Hz refresh rate display. It will also be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and support 5G connectivity. The powerful CPU will then be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage.
The previously mentioned single front camera should have a resolution of 20MP. Meanwhile on the back we expect to find a 64MP primary sensor, coupled with an ultra wide angle lens, a telephoto camera and a macro lens or alternatively a depth sensor.
Other features should include fast wireless charging, under display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition.
Finally, as for the launch date, many predict the smartphone will come out in the month of April.
