Redmi Note series sales exceed 110 million – sold about 10 million units in 5 months


In October last year, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, announced that the Redmi Note series has shipped 100 million units globally. This figure includes Redmi Note devices that were released before Redmi’s independence. At the time, the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro were probably the most popular Redmi Note phones. However, the Redmi Note 6 Pro was quite popular in Q4 2018. Now, Redmi has announced that the Note series has shipped over 110 million units globally. This means that the Note series sold about 10 million units in five months. Obviously, the Redmi Note 8/Pro which arrived in August 2019 have significantly added to the overall sales figure.

Redmi Note series is quite popular – dates back to 2014

Following the independence of the Redmi brand, it released theĀ Redmi Note 7 in January last year. One month later, the company released the Pro version. By the end of March 2019, the Note 7 series has shipped about 4 million units. In July last year, the brand announced that the Note 7 series has shipped about 15 million units. In October 2019, it announced that this series has shipped 20 million units. This milestone achievement is an indication that fans all over the world are loving the Redmi Note series which remains one of its best selling series. It is worth noting that the surge in sales figures could not be unconnected to more stock in existing regions as well as launches in new markets. The Redmi Note 7 and the pro variant have at various times received enticing price cuts in India and China.

The Note series dates as far back as 2014 when the company released the 5.5-inch Redmi Note with massive bezels on all sides.
