Huawei has announced casually that it plans to present a new version of its own Android user interface very soon, it will be called EMUI 10.1. It is worth to mention that Huawei has another option for downloading apps for its own Android smartphones without Google Play Store. Future Huawei devices should now be equipped by the so-called AppSearch app. An interesting addition to the still sparsely populated AppGallery. Obviously, this path must be chosen so that Huawei can offer popular apps from American companies such as WhatsApp and Instagram. Although in a very unusual way, because the installation of some apps takes place via external stores or from websites. Just not directly through the Huawei store.
The individual apps are downloaded from other AppStores – e.g. Amazon AppStore, APKPure or apkmonk. You will be directed to the respective website to download the app directly from there. A separate registration is generally not necessary. Some apps – such as Facebook and WhatsApp – are also offered directly via the manufacturer’s website. This is still not a very comfortable way, but it is the current solution by the company.
They didn’t even give me 10.0 yet on my P30 Lite New Edition and now they wanna announce 10.1 this is just ridiculous!
Will they fix the terribly annoying unstable WiFi connection? I would have disconnect warnings 20-30 times per day in EMUI 9, this went to 100-300 per day in EMUI 10….. It is such a problem that I doubt I will ever buy Huawei ever again! I also noticed a huge loss in camera quality after the EMUI 10 update. I would say you were lucky to miss it and stay on EMUI 9, as it was far better than EMUI 10. I have the mate 20 pro, but I doubt I will get another Huawei. It has amazing hardware, outstanding value….. But is highly overrated about its camera and battery, plus seems destroyed by bad software and EMUI is not that shiny Google killer they claim it to be. My phone is 4 months old and I charge it 3 times a day….. Plus the screen scratches with anything harder than talc. A plastic flip cover is like diamond sandpaper to any other phone…..

Trust me you don’t want emui 10, I am thinking of going back to emui 9.1, my phone has been nothing but trouble, battery running down fast ,apps playing up, lagging, and freezing. Pile of shit.
I totally agree with everything you just said in this post, I got Huawei p smart plus 2019, came with emui 9.1, run perfectly, always had shit phones before, and was over the moon to finally get a decent phone, then got emui 10 update, and it just completely destroyed the way I feel about the phone, nothing but trouble on emui 10, camera lags on opening/taking pics/and closing, battery is is a joke, especially using Google maps, Facebook messenger freeze’s constantly, WiFi runs slow, I just don’t like it at all, considering going back to emui 9.1, anyone else wants to do this let me know as I have the instructions directly from the Huawei team support themselves.
