The Honor 30S has been officially announced just a few days ago. Among its biggest highlights, we can mention the Kirin 820 5G SoC and the built-in 4000mAh battery. The 8GB + 128GB variant sells for 2399 yuan ($338), while the 8GB + 256GB model costs 2699 yuan ($380). Today, the company issued a statement, according to which, the phone will hit the market on April 7.
In terms of appearance, the Honor 30S continues the Honor 20S butterfly feather texture design. Also, it has been upgraded to a double-layer diaphragm process. Apart from this, on the front, it uses a 6.5-inch full-screen, 2.4mm ultra-narrow side fingerprint scanner, and has a butterfly feather emerald, butterfly feather white, and butterfly feather red, and magic night black color options.

Under the hood, it carries a Kirin 820 5G SoC chip. Kirin 820 is Huawei’s second 5G SoC after Kirin 990. It follows the Kirin 810’s A76 + A55 and 7nm process. However, the chip is upgraded again on the basis of the Kirin 810: 8-core CPU performance is increased by 27%, new architecture GPU graphics capability is increased by 38%. At the same time, the newly upgraded NPU AI performance is increased by 73%.
As said, there is also a 4000mAh battery, which supports SuperCharge 40W fast charge as well as TÜV Rheinland’s safe fast charge certification.
In terms of cameras, the Honor 30S features a 16MP AI front camera. On the opposite side, we can find a 64-megapixel high-definition lens, an 8-megapixel triple optical zoom lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a macro lens. It supports 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom, and 20x digital zoom.
