Yesterday, we reported that Apple iPhone 11 series just got a huge price cut at Suning’s official website. The entire series got a price cut with the high-model iPhone 11 Pro Max cutting 1600 yuan ($225). The poor sales due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as preparation for the arrival of the iPhone 12 series might have necessitated these price cuts. However, the Chinese smartphone market is “crazy” and a plethora of Chinese OEMs are getting set to slash the prices of their Android 4G phones.

Chinese Android 4G phones will probably cut prices too

Pan Jiutang, a partner of the Xiaomi Industry Investment Department, pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic really affected the high-end smartphone market in Europe and America. Furthermore, he said that the iPhone’s price cut will only trigger further price cuts for Chinese 4G mobile phones.

According to Pan Jiutang, whoever is changing a flagship phone presently will go for a 5G phone. In addition, Chinese 5G construction will accelerate this year and many areas will have 5G signals. This means that 4G flagship phones cant retain their launch prices. Of course, we already have fairly good 5G mid-range smartphones. If the 4G flagship doesn’t cut prices, they may not have any sales, especially in China.

This year we may see the launch of the 5G iPhone. There is a strong expectation that 5G will become a catalyst for creating iPhone sales records. According to reports, Apple’s suppliers are struggling to meet with their target because of the pandemic. Nevertheless, Apple still hopes to unveil the iPhone 12 series according to schedule. According to the supply chain, Apple’s new iPhone in 2020 may arrive in September this year, including 5G models.

There are rumors that the upcoming iPhone 12  will have a variety of screens. Its display sizes should range from 5.4 inches to 6.1 inches, up to 6.7 inches. In addition, Apple will fully use OLED screens, rather than split equally between OLED and LCD screens.
