After unveiling the Honor 30S in the last month, Huawei’s sub-brand is preparing itself for the launch of the remaining Honor 30 and 30 Pro phones. We have been hearing multiple reports about the specifications inside of these two smartphones. Today we got the confirmation right from the company. The Honor 30 Pro will boast the Kirin 990 5G SoC while the vanilla Honor 30 will carry the unannounced Kirin 985 chipset.

Actually, Honor made an interesting post to announce that all three Honor devices are powered by HiSillicon chipsets. The Honor 30S which is already official bears the Kirin 820. The company’s first mid-range SoC to pack 5G connectivity. Now, the company should announce the Kirin 985 before the announcement of the new smartphones. This particular chipset is similar to the Kirin 990, which will be found on the 30 Pro. However, it has a lower clock speed.
