Realme X-series is getting bigger with many new smartphones being released. Early in January, we saw the launch of the Realme X50 5G, while the Pro variant came a month later. Now, rumors have it that Realme will also unveil a Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom Edition pretty soon. To make things even more interesting, the company is also preparing a new Realme X50 Youth edition to join the other two devices. According to a Chinese tipster, the handset will feature six cameras – two selfie snappers and a quad-camera array at the back.
Both the Realme X50 and X50 Pro also have six cameras in total, so we believe this comes from family. However, there are differences in the X50 Youth setup. The vanilla X50 comes with a 16MP and 8MP ultrawide units on the front and a 64MP + 12MP + 8MP + 2MP array at the back. The X50 Youth will have a 16MP and 2MP combo in the front. On the back, it will get a 48MP main unit accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide and two 2MP modules.
Gizchina News of the week
It’s not a big surprise to see that the cameras are getting a downgrade here. As the name implies, the X50 Youth will be more affordable than its siblings. Unfortunately, details are still scarce about this particular handset. However, the fact that it supports 5G connectivity limits Realme to choose between the Snapdragon 765G or MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoCs. We believe that the latter will be the company’s choice, but that is just an assumption. The Realme X50 Youth was certified by 3C recently and the listing revealed support for 30W fast-charging.
We’ll probably hear more details about this smartphone in the coming days. Apparently, Realme is waiting until the “right time” to unveil this new handset.
