Xiaomi has taken the wraps off a new smartphone dubbed Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth today with 5G connectivity and a telephoto camera. However, one of the company’s biggest announcements of the year was also made during the event. Today, all Mi fans got their first look at MIUI 12. The new software is set to come for several Xiaomi devices throughout the year. Interestingly enough, many of these devices are already receiving beta updates for those who want to have the first try in the next software. Despite the MIUI 12 early availability, the company already started working on MIUI 13. Yeah, you heard right, while the MIUI 12 still on beta testing, the company is already working on MIUI 13.
MIUI 13 is officially confirmed
This isn’t a rumor, the reports about MIUI 13 comes directly from Xiaomi. It’s not a rumor of any sort. MIUI User Research Team shared a post on Mi Community China after the launch event. The post urges interested users to participate in a Feature Design Survey for MIUI 13. The new firmware may be hitting Xiaomi devices in 2021. So it’s interesting to see the company’s commitment in developing this software. According to Xiaomi “dedication has no limitation”.

According to Xiaomi, MIUI software is the soul of mobile phones, and it is more important that hardware to some extent. This shows how the company wants to further improve its mobile operating system. It’s interesting to see first MIUI 13 reports popping out, after all, the company still needs to announce a proper global release for MIUI 11. It may go official with the global Redmi Note 9 on April 30.
