Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is consistently expanding its ecological chain with new products. Its Redmi sub-brand is particularly interested in “cheap” products. Technically, Redmi products are not always cheap, but they always offer good value for money. There have been speculations that Redmi is getting set to unveil its first smart display – Redmi 1A. Well, the rumors turn out to be true.
The Chinese manufacturer has quietly unveiled its first-ever display monitor, Redmi 1A. This smart display is already available for pre-sale on Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, and other channels. The first official outright sale of this product will take place on June 1st. The retail price of the Redmi 1A is 599 yuan ($84). However, if you participate in the pre-sale and deposit 100 to 200 yuan ($14 – $28), the final price will be 499 yuan ($70).

Redmi 1A display monitor details
The Redmi 1A display is a 23.8 inches IPS panel with a 1080P resolution and a viewing angle of 178 degrees. This display comes with a three-sided ultra-narrow bezel design. The thinnest part of the fuselage is 7.3mm. It also has the Rheinland low blue light certification. Other parameters of the panel include 250 nits brightness, 60Hz refresh rate, 1000: 1 contrast ratio, 16: 9 aspect ratio.
According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Display 1A supports fine adjustment of the pitch angle to protect the cervical spine. The back interface has VGA / D-Sub and HDMI, and it promises a three-year warranty. In addition, the rated power consumption of the whole device is 24 watts
This panel is not entirely new to Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Mi Display 1A comes with a similar panel. Generally, the external outlook of Redmi’s first display is quite similar to the Xiaomi Mi Display 1A. As per previous reports, Redmi will release several office and gaming monitors within a few months.
Obviously, the Redmi 1A is the first to hit the market. The price (at 599 yuan or $84) is also very competitive. Recall that the Xiaomi Mi Display 1A costs about $96.
