Vivo is gearing up to introduce the new Vivo X50 series on June 1. The series is famous for its camera capabilities and this year it won’t disappoint. First of all, the company will introduce the Vivo X50 Pro with an unusual setup consisting in a 1-2-1 alignment. Moreover, this camera will debut a new gimbal-like stabilization system dubbed micro-cloud. According to Vivo, this technology is far superior to anything we have in smartphones right now. Yesterday, we had our first glimpse in the upcoming device thanks to leaked live shots. Now, more photos are coming accompanied by the entire specs sheet of the handset.
The new handset is a camera-centric smartphone
Apparently, the Vivo X50 Pro is about a camera, hence it won’t come with a flagship SoC. Instead, we have excellent Snapdragon 765G. Although companies are offering it with a premium price tag, this still sits as a mid-range or premium mid-range SoC offering. The device has a huge 6.56-OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a top-left punch hole housing a 32MP snapper. The handset will be available in a variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of Storage.

The main selling point of this handset is one the back. We have a Quad-Camera setup comprising a Sony IMX598 48MP main camera. It is accompanied by an 8MP telephoto snapper, 13MP camera with 2x optical zoom for portrait shots, and an 8MP ultrawide-angle module. The phone offers NFC for payments like the company’s offering Vivo Pay.
The X50 Pro draws power from a 4,314mAh battery with 33W fast-charging. On the software front, we have Android 10-based FunTouch OS 10. Judging by the live photos we can confirm that the handset will be available in Black, Blue, Pink, and Grey color options. Worth noting that one of the images shows the X50 Pro alongside the new Vivo TWS buds that will be revealed in the same day.
The handset will be sold at CNY3,998 ($560/€505). However, we still need to confirm which variant we get for this price. All the remaining details will be revealed on Monday, June 1.
