After launching numerous budget and mid-range devices over the last couple of months, Samsung is now expected to reveal three much-awaited products. We’re talking about the next flagship Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Tab S7 lineup and of course, the all-new Galaxy Watch 3. Yes! the next smartwatch from the chaebol is going to be the Galaxy Watch 3. For those who’re unaware, the smartphone maker is skipping the Galaxy Watch 2 moniker.
This might be done to make sure that the consumers know the upcoming wearable is better than the recently launched Watch Active 2. Furthermore, it has been two years since the company has launched any iteration of the original lineup. With that said, we now have the live images of the wearable. Unlike the previous leak where we saw the rear of the product, we now have the frontal design to talk about.

The two 41mm and 44mm variants of the Galaxy Watch 3 has now appeared on South Korea’s NRRA certification database. The listing has blessed us with the live images of the device. As you can see from the images, the next-gen wearable will definitely retain the physical rotating bezels. It makes sense considering it is one of the satisfying features of the original lineup. After looking closely, it looks like the physical bezels are indeed smaller meaning we will see more real estate for display. We also have the two physical buttons on the right side but this time the design is pretty different. Instead of the previous design, we will now see circular aesthetics.
Apart from the live images, the listing only mentions two model numbers namely SM-R840 and SM-R850 meaning these are most likely the non-LTE variants.
Leaked Specs, Features
Recently, we saw the complete list of specifications and features surfacing online. To recall, the Galaxy Watch 3 will arrive in two sizes – 1.2-inch and 1.4-inch. We will also see two build options namely stainless steel and titanium. Under the hood, the wearable will make use of 1GB RAM and an 8GB of onboard memory. The display will also have a Corning Gorilla Glass DX protection. Furthermore, we will also be certified with the MIL-STD-810G military standard and of course, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The smaller size will feature 247mAh battery while the large variant will run on 340mAh cell. Software-wise, the wearable will make use of Tizen OS 5.5. Since the official launch is set for August, we should hear more about the product in the coming days.
