Recently, a leakster revealed that the company is gearing up to launch the new Honor X10 Max along with the Honor 30 Youth Edition in July, meanwhile, the X10 Pro has postponed. Today, the latest bit of information comes straight from the brand CEO George Zhao. According to him, the company has a large-screen product under its sleeves.
The executive is surely speaking about the Honor X10 Max. The Max lineup was a hit in China with the arrival of Honor 8X Max. However, it mysteriously disappeared when the Honor 9X family took over the market. According to Zhao, Huawei brand wen through several challenges with planned productions. That includes the transition from 4G to 5G, however, the commitment for a big device remains and it will be ready on time. According to him, the 7-inch screen class is challenging and the company might not be ready for the Dragon Boat Festival – a Chinese Holiday that celebrates the summer solstice.

The Honor X10 Max bears the King Kong codename thanks to its 7.09-inch display
According to rumors, the Honor X10 Max will come with a 7.09-inch display. That may be really massive, but everything will depend on the screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the handset will boast the Dimensity 800 chipset. It will mark the beginning of a new partnership between Huawei and MediaTek that will equip the Chinese company smartphones with the Taiwanese maker 5G chipsets. MediaTek’s Dimensity line is known for being powerful and very affordable. The device will bring a 48MP main camera with 26mm lens and f/1.8 aperture. According to rumors, the price will be around CNY 1,600, which is just about $225 / €200 making it one of the most affordable 5G smartphones in the market right now.
Rumors have it that Honor will announce the Honor 30 Youth Edition smartphone on July 4 or 5 in China. This handset will go official as Honor 30 Lite in other regions. The same event will serve to unleash the Honor X10 Max. The big-screen smartphone has a King Kong codename, and with that massive screen, we believe that it’s more than deserved. If Huawei ends up leaving the MediaTek Dimensity chip for the Honor X10 Pro, then, we are expecting the Max to come with Kirin 820 5G SoC, the very same chipset that is present on the Honor X10 5G.
