Honor X10 Max Monster-Size Screen Smartphone Announced

Honor X10 Max

Today, Honor officially launched the Honor X10 Max large-screen smartphone. It is the latest member of the Honor X10 family and the only large-screen smartphone in the 5G era. It comes with a 7.09-inch waterdrop screen, which uses an RGBW LCD panel, Dimensity 800 5G processor, and dual speakers. The starting price is 1899 yuan ($269).

Screen

The Honor X10 Max is another large-screen smartphone launched by Honor after two years. The first eye-catching feature is the 7.09-inch LCD screen. It adopts a full- drop water design, a 2280×1080 resolution, etc. The panel is supplied by JDI. And the screen ratio is as high as 91.13%. As the display is the biggest highlight of this phone, it supports 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, which is way better than an ordinary LCD screen.

The LCD screen of the Honor X10 Max adopts the RGBW arrangement. On the basis of RGB, W (representing White) white sub-pixels are added. The arrangement of sub-pixel points changes from RGBRGB to RGBRGW. The four-color pixel design reduces power consumption compared to RGB. The screen unit saves power by 14%, and the overall power consumption is reduced by 7%.

In addition to power saving, another advantage of the RGBW screen is the high brightness. The maximum brightness is increased by 705. The typical brightness is 780nit. So the content can be seen clearly under direct sunlight.

In addition, the Honor X10 Max also supports the super-resolution algorithm. It can upgrade low-resolution old movies such as 480p to high-definition movies. The display also supports an all-around eye protection mode to filter out blue light that is harmful to human eyes and protects the health of vision.

It is worth mentioning that the Honor X10 Max also supports the e-book mode. It can not only achieve the same display effect as the e-ink screen but also adjust the eye protection level more finely.

Honor X10 Max

The phone has a body size of 174.37mm (length) × 84.91mm (width) × 8.3mm (height), and weighs only 227g. This is quite acceptable if taking into account we are dealing with a 7.09-inch large screen. It offers three colors of racing blue, speed black, and light speed silver. It has an 8.3mm thick body and an ergonomic arc of 35° tiger mouth angle, and supports side fingerprint unlocking.

Hardware and Performance

In terms of 5G, the Honor X10 Max uses the MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G processor. As you should know, it supports SA/NSA dual-mode 5G, 6 frequency bands such as N1/N38/N41/N77/N78/N79, and covers 5G mainstream networks. The 1T4R SRS antenna improves the download and upload speed.
