Samsung is apparently getting ready to announce a new affordable smartphone that will refresh the M series which already encloses a very large number of devices. The handset with such task will be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M01s; which leaked on the Google Play Console in the previous days.

The leak revealed that we’re looking at a rebrand of the Galaxy A10s launched in August of 2019. Thus we already know what its specs will be as well as the selling price. Additionally, a support page for the smartphone just went up on the company’s official Indian website; adding further confirmations of an imminent announcement
On the official page it was also possible to check out some its details such as the amount of RAM, 3GB of RAM and the model number that identifies it: SM-M017F / DS. This last info also confirms some of the rumors that surfaced the web in the previous weeks.

As far as the other specs are concerned, if it’s anything like the Galaxy A01s from last year then it will feature a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display; with HD+ (1.520 x 720 pixel) resolution. It’ll then be powered by MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor; meanwhile the OS should be OneUI in version 2.0. based on Android 10 out of the box.
Photography wise, we should find a dual camera setup on the back with a primary 13MP shooter paired with a 2MP depth sensor to help creating photos with the fancy bokeh effect. Selfie will instead be taken care off by an 8MP snapper.
As far as autonomy, the Samsung Galaxy M01s should be packing a good sized 4000 mAh capacity battery. Meanwhile other features will include the presence of a microUSB port for charging and a fingerprint scanner implemented on the back
Finally, price wise, the Galaxy M01s by Samsung should come with a similar price as the Galaxy A10s. More specifically this means a price tag of around INR 10,000; which is about $133.
