We can pretty much affirm that the market for true wireless studio devices is finally catching in 2020. Moreover, the segment which comprises TWS earbuds – The wearable segment – has been one of the few segments the industry to suffer less damage from the ongoing pandemic. Despite the crescent demand for high-quality wireless earphones, there’s still room for wired earphones. The smaller price certainly counts as a factor that keeps pushing the demand for wired earphones. Moreover, some TWS devices still suffer from latency. Companies like Xiaomi and Realme are pretty aware of this demand. A couple of days ago, the former released its Realme Buds Classic Wired earphones in India, now, Redmi India is teasing new wired earphones for the country.

It’s not a secret that Realme and Redmi are close rivals in the smartphone industry. This becomes even more evident in the Chinese market when these companies are fighting for the customer’s preference. Xiaomi always had the domain of the market with its competitive smartphones and a wide range of smart products. Realme is starting to pursuit the company with the recent expansion of its products that introduced smart TVs, a smartwatch, and true wireless earphones. Xiaomi does not want to lose grip for Realme, and for that reason, is launching new wired earphones to compete directly with the Realme Buds Classic. However, Xiaomi has a long story in the market of wired earphones. Do you remember the legendary Xiaomi Piston series?

Redmi India posted a 23-second video on Twitter today with the hashtag #WiredForEverthing. In the video, we can easily see the outline of the earbuds and the 3.5mm connector which uses an unusual 90-degrees angle. The new earbuds come with silicone tips that should provide passive noise cancelation. This is a major change over the Realme Buds Classic which comes with an open-fit design. Redmi India video also teases two colorways the new earphones will be available in – Red and Blue. Last but not least, the teasers call Redmi fans for the big revelation on Wednesday, September 2.
