Huawei Y9a launched with a flagship design and 40W charging

A couple of days ago, Huawei introduced the Enjoy 20 Plus 5G smartphone aimed at the Chinese market. But we know that Enjoy models are often later introduced to the international market under different names. It happened this time too.

Today Huawei showed the Y9a, which is the global version of the Enjoy 20 Plus 5G, but with a number of changes, that is, it is not a complete copy.

Externally, the devices are identical, and both have the design of the flagship Mate 30. Huawei Y9a received the same Full HD + display with a diagonal of 6.63 inches, only, unfortunately, it lacks support for 90 Hz, like the Enjoy 20 Plus 5G. In addition, there is a less productive platform: MediaTek Helio G80 versus Dimensity 720.

The 4200 mAh battery has remained unchanged, as is the 40-watt charging. True, there is a small postscript on the Huawei website, which says that the 40-watt charging support will be available only in a number of countries. The rest of the smartphone will be equipped with a 22.5W device.

The camera has also changed somewhat. The resolution of 8 megapixels has been preserved, while the macro camera has a lower resolution (2 versus 5 megapixels), but the main sensor here has a resolution of 64 megapixels versus 48 megapixels in the Enjoy 20 Plus 5G.

The RAM can be 6 or 8 GB, flash memory – 128 GB. The dimensions of the new device are 163.5 x 76.5 x 8.95 mm with a weight of 197 g.
