Sorry Huawei, the 5.6mm Umeox X5 appears again and looks ready to launch

No matter your personal preference is over super thin Android phones, you have to admit it is going to look pretty funny when Umeox finally launch the 5.6mm Umeox X5 and take the thinnest Android phone crown!

Huawei are pretty happy with themselves at the moment. Their Huawei Ascend P6 is a great looking piece of kit with pretty good hardware and is currently the worlds thinnest phone, but not for much longer.

We have posted exclusive leaked photos of the 5.6mm Umeox X5 here and here already, and now there are even more suggesting that Umeox might finally be ready to launch their new handset.

Gizchina News of the week

The new information suggests that the display on the X5 is actually 4-inch rather than 5.3, the dimensions 118 x 60 x 5.6mm seem to fit a 4-inch device also.

Although its nice to see the phone up close again, we would really like to hear more about the hardware this puppy in running. We have an idea that it will run a Mediatek processor and run Android 4.2, but full hardware details, and most importantly the battery size are still unknown.

The Umeox X5 will be available in China and in certain countries across Europe when it finally goes on sale.

Shall I answer now or shall I let my ego get in the way? 😉

The G4 light buttons are not broken, the phone simply doesn’t have them. Same as all Xiaomi phones, the FAEA F1 Penguin we unboxed today and the black Zopo ZP980+. If this really bothers you I suggest you look for another phone.

As for the Neo I have no idea.

Why do you want button lights anyway? They drain batterym they usually look cheap and they are uselees. Don’t tell me you cant remember 3 buttons and there they are (it’s impossible). Did you look on your old phone’s keyboard before pressing green or red button? Or something.
