A decade ago, Apple created the iPhone 4 that looked harmonious and stylish for its day. This year, when creating the iPhone 12, the company remembered the old device and decided to offer exactly the same design in its new products, but with some adjustments for the display and the dimensions of the case.
One of the controversial solutions is the chopped ends. Some felt that in the case of the iPhone 12, the company was trying to stand out without regard to the ergonomics and usability of the device. Now, it seems that users should put the new devices in a case to hide these edges and to avoid getting scars on their palms.
Among those who were the first to purchase the iPhone 12; there were those for whom the edges of the device turned out to be sharp. Photos of evidence began to appear on the network that after the use of the brand new iPhone. The traces left by the sharp edges of the case remain on the palms. There are even cases of cuts and wounds bleeding.
But there were also a lot of those who defended the new iPhone 12 series smartphones and claim that the problem is exaggerated.
Gizchina News of the week
If the problem with sharp edges can be fictitious, then the complaints about the autonomy of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are well-founded. So, a number of users argue that new items hardly survive until the end of the day.
Here is the amount of RAM and battery capacity of the iPhone 12 series
This is the battery capacity for the 2020 iPhone flagships:
- iPhone 12 mini – 2227 mAh
- iPhone 12 – 2851 mAh
- iPhone-12 Pro – 2815 mAh
- iPhone 12 Pro Max – 3687 mAh
In the case of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max, we are dealing with a downgrade. For comparison, the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro Max had 3,110mAh and 3,969mAh batteries, respectively. It seems that in terms of autonomy, Apple made a bet on the energy efficiency of the 5nm A14 Bionic chip.
If we talk about the amount of RAM, then the alignment of forces is as follows:
- iPhone 12 mini – 4 GB
- iPhone 12 — 4 GB
- iPhone-12 Pro — 6 GB
- iPhone 12 Pro Max — 6 GB.
It turns out that the two younger iPhone 12 models received the same amount of RAM as the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. But the older models have increased the amount of RAM to 6 GB. And let’s be objective that that much RAM is enough for the vast majority of tasks.
