OnePlus Watch is postponed due to some difficulties with the software

OnePlus Watch

Almost all smartphone manufacturers have released their smartwatches and some of them turned out to be quite successful. OnePlus also wanted to be noted in the field of creating a wearable gadget. The company has even hinted that it plans to introduce a smartwatch – OnePlus Watch. It was expected to premiere in October alongside the OnePlus 8T announcement.

And now the message has come that the company has decided to postpone the release of the OnePlus Watch. And this was reported by the well-known informant Max J, who more than once brought reliable information about the yet-to-be-presented OnePlus devices. For how long the release of the OnePlus Watch is postponed, it is not reported. Among the possible reasons to postpone the release date of the gadget, the source named difficulties with the production or development of software.

The idea to release a smartwatch visited the minds of the company’s engineers back in 2016. But in the end, the project was postponed until better times. It was expected that this year the company should unveil its first smartwatch that should offer a round dial, and also should be similar to the Vivo Watch; but with the Wear operating system.

OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus 9 much earlier than expected

A number of online sources have suggested that Samsung is preparing to announce the flagship Galaxy S21 series about a month earlier than usual. Now a message has come that OnePlus intends to follow the same path. In particular, the premiere of the OnePlus 9 may take place as early as March 2021. As a rule, the company previously preferred to show its flagships in May or June. But in the case of the OnePlus 8, it moved away from that tradition and premiered it in mid-April. And if the latest predictions come true, then the OnePlus 9 will appears even earlier.

Why is the company in a hurry with the announcement? There may be several reasons. One of them is to participate in the leveraging of the share of Huawei, whose influence and presence in the market will weaken. There is also speculation that the company itself is aware that with the OnePlus 8T it offered a weak upgrade and that the smartphone is unlikely to get big sales. So, they need to hurry up with the release of a new generation of flagships so as not to lose potential buyers.

What the company will do with the release of the OnePlus 9, we will find out next year. And this month we can see two more new smartphones: OnePlus N10 and OnePlus N100. The first model should be the version of OnePlus Nord for the US market with the Snapdragon 690 chip; while the second will take the place of the company’s most affordable device and offer the Snapdragon 460 processor.
