Despite a tough year, Huawei is trying not to surrender and smartphones are coming out on schedule. Next in line is the Honor V40, which aims to enter the flagship segment. Traditionally, following the premium Huawei devices, Honor is releasing its flagship, which receives the current SoC and a number of features from the Mate series.
Honor V40 series will share some specs with the Huawei Mate 40 series
If everything predicted by the insider @RODENT950 turns out to be a reality, then the Honor V40 Pro series has every chance of becoming popular models. Especially if the company follows the tradition of setting more attractive price tags on its devices than what they asking for top Huawei models. The announcement of the new products should happen in December this year.
According to the source, smartphones are waiting for us with a large, curved display with a diagonal of 6.72 inches at FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This means that it is the Honor V40 series that has been honored to be a pioneer in Huawei’s 120Hz panel range.
Honor V40 Pro will run the Dimensity 1000+ platform; and for Honor V40 Pro+ they have prepared the new flagship 5 nm chip Kirin 9000. The smartphones will have a dual front-facing camera and it will be integrated into an oval hole in the display. Several camera sensors will be on the backside and the main sensor will be 50-megapixel. The new smartphones will include support for 66-watt wired charging and 40 W wireless power, as well as stereo speakers.
V40 series as you know is coming in December and it maybe more good choice than Mate 40 pro 🤔

Gizchina News of the week
EMUI 11 release schedule published for 37 Huawei and Honor models
Recently, in an interview, one of Huawei officials Huawei has announced that the company is preparing for the fact that the EMUI 11 user interface may become the last in the series of the manufacturer’s firmware, before switching to their own operating system. So, it’s interesting to see which Huawei devices will upgrade to EMUI 11.
The company has published a list of those models that will soon receive the new version of their user interface. It includes 37 devices from Huawei and Honor. Already in November, owners of flagship series Huawei P40, Honor 20, Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 20 will be able to upgrade to EMUI 11, and for Huawei Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro 5G, Nova 6, Nova 6 5G, Huawei P30 / P30 Pro, Honor V30 / V30 Pro, Honor 30/30 Pro / 30 Pro + and Huawei MatePad 10.8, they will have a beta version of the new firmware.
You can see the full list of models that will receive the update on the official timeline of the company. And note that we are talking about the Chinese version of EMUI 11.
With a high degree of probability; all of these devices are the first devices to get the proprietary HongMeng OS (Harmony OS) operating system. Recall that Huawei plans to transfer its devices to proprietary operating systems. In fact, EMUI 11 is a transitional version of the firmware. It will mark the transition of the company’s gadgets to their own OS.
At the moment, HongMengOS 2.0 beta is already ready for various devices, including TVs and smartwatches. We expect that this particular firmware version should arrive on mobile devices. We are waiting for official comments from the company on this matter.
