LG smartphone business has been struggling during the past years. However, the company is finally seeing signs of recovery after a very positive Q3 2020. The company revamped some of its smartphone lineups and is introducing better devices in the mid-range segment. Today, the company wants to diversify its offerings in India. LG introduced three new devices that will sit under the low-end and mid-range categories.

LG W11 specifications

The W11 is powered by a 2.0GHz Octa-Core chipset, namely the MediaTek Helio P22. The chipset is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal Storage. The phone flaunts a 6.52-inch HD+ FulVision display with a waterdrop notch comprising an 8MP front-facing shooter. Moving around to the back we have a dual-camera setup comprising a 13MP main shooter and a 2MP wide-angle lens.

The handset draws power from a 4,000mAh battery with Android 10 in tow. The handset has 166.2 x 76.3 x 8.4 mm overall dimensions and brings a dedicated Google Assistant button, this seems to be a trend among low-end devices. The phone brings MicroSD card support and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The LG W31 and W31+ also pack the very same Helio P22 Octa-Core chipset. The W31 is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage. The Plus variant brings the same amount of RAM, but the company doubles the storage to 128GB. Interestingly enough, both handsets bring microSD card support, so you can expand this amount up to 512GB.

LG announces W11, W31 and W31+ in India

Just like the  W11, the duo of handsets brings 4000mAh batteries. Unfortunately, there’s no word on fast-charging technology. On the software front, we have Android 10 with LG UX running on top. In the camera department, we have a similar triple-camera array in both handsets. It has a 13MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP wide-angle lens. On the front, we have an 8MP front-facing snapper. We also have a dedicated button here for launching Google Assistant. Apparently, LG is betting high on the integration with Google smart assistant here.

The vanilla W11 will retail for INR 9,490 which can be directly converted to $128. The LG W31 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage will retail at INR 10,990 which is $148. The “top” variant, will cost INR 11,990 (~ $162). We are curious to see how these devices will perform in a segment flooded with competition.
