A couple of mid-range smartphones are projected to take the market by storm in the last few weeks of the year. We have the likes of the Redmi Note 9 series which will arrive later today in China. There is also the Oppo Reno5 series which seems to be using all the right things for the mid-range market. Now, there are reports that Vivo is getting set to unveil a new mid-range 5G smartphone. In fact, the new Vivo 5G phone recently made its way to TENAA.
There are already any mid-range 5G smartphones in the market. Thus, Vivo has a lot more to do with this mid-range phone than just 5G. That is if it hopes to compete in the market. According to the TENAA listing, the Vivo 5G phone uses a 6.58-inch TFT punch-hole screen. The punch-hole is at the top center of the display and it has a very small aperture. The screen resolution is 1080 × 2408. In addition, the phone will continue the common thin and light design of Vivo mobile phones. It comes with a side fingerprint recognition sensor. The dimension of this smartphone is 164.15 × 75.35 × 8.4mm, and the phone’s weight is 185.5g.
Gizchina News of the week
In terms of configuration, the upcoming Vivo 5G phone will use a mid-range processor. The main frequency of this CPU is 2.0GHz. Furthermore, this device will have three RAM options. The TENAA listing shows 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB of RAM. However, in terms of internal storage, there is just one option, 128GB.
In the camera department, the Vivo 5G phone comes with an 8MP front camera. On the rear, it uses a dual rear camera setup. Specifically, it has a 13MP sensor as well as a 2MP sensor. This rear camera configuration is quite poor for a 2020 or 2021 mid-range phone. Nevertheless, the battery of this device is not disappointing. It will arrive with a built-in large-capacity battery with a rated capacity of 4910 mAh.
As of now, all reports do not show any name for the upcoming Vivo 5G phone. Nevertheless, with this listing by TENAA, we will most likely get more information on this device in the coming weeks.
