A couple of years ago, Lenovo was among the most relevant Chinese brands in the mid-range segment with competitive devices under the Lenovo Lemon aka K-series. In recent years, the company shifted its focus to Motorola-branded smartphones. Not a big surprise, since Moto phones are more successful in global markets. However, we can see that the company isn’t satisfied in just pushing Motorola phones. For that reason, the company is finally bringing its Lenovo Lemon series back to life! Today, Lenovo Mobile Official Weibo account announced today that it will release the new Le Lemon K12 series on December 9. The long-silent Le Lemon series will make its big return, but according to the leaks, these devices may not be a big deal for global customers. After all, they’ve basically rebranded Moto G phones.
As a sub-brand of Lenovo, Le Lemon focuses in products for the younger generations. Remember the old Redmi series? Well, the Lenovo Lemon series basically stands for the same thing Redmi was before becoming a separate branch. The devices will come for the competitive Chinese market and will be quite affordable. After all, the leaked specs indicate a lack of 5G networks. Nowadays, anything shipping without 5G in China needs to be affordable.

Lenovo Lemon K12 is a rebranded Moto G9 Power
A Lenovo Lemon K12 device passed the certification of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in China. The device is considered to be a rebranded version of the Motorola Moto G9 Power. This device has been launched in overseas markets recently. The handset packs a 6.78-inch LCD panel with a punch-hole for the selfie snapper. On the back, we have a square-shaped Triple-Camera setup comprising a 64MP main shooter, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth lens. The device brings a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. In Motorola’s case, it has the Motorola logo embedded. However, we assume that the Lenovo Lemon will have just a plain sensor. Under the hood, the phone packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Storage. The device draws power from a 6,000mAh battery and charges over a USB-C port with 20-W fast-charging.
Back in September this year, Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile phone business department in China. Stated that from the end of this year to the beginning of the next year both Motorola and Lenovo lines will cooperate with each other. The Lenovo Lemon smartphones will target the low-end market, while Motorola will focus in the Mid-to-High end market, while Legion will focus in gaming phones.
