Back in 2014, Xiaomi forayed into the Indian smartphone market with its then-unique smartphone dubbed Mi 3. Since then, the Chinese smartphone maker has managed to expand itself in the country by diversifying to more niches. Xiaomi now has a plethora of poducts under its portfolio such as smart televisions, laptops, audio products and much more.

Xiaomi already has around a dozen offering when it comes to smart television. The company is now set to add another television to its porfoltio. This time we’re looking at Mi QLED TV 4K. Well, we now have the official launch information along with key specs. Read more to find out.

Xiaomi to launch Mi QLED TV 4K in India next week!

Xiaomi recently announced the launch timeline for its next television on its official Twitter channel. According to the post, Mi QLED TV 4K will see its official launch next week on December 16 at 12 noon. Of course, the company will livestream the launch on its various social media channels. The brand is teasing the product with the tagline Quantum Leaps Ahead which makes sense considering there’s a QLED panel.

Apart from just announcing the product, Xiaomi has also made the official product page live revealing few key aspects. The upcoming Mi TV, as the name suggests, has a 4K resolution panel that will be HDR10+ certified and will also support Dolby Vision tech. For audio, the television will feature Dolby Audio along with DTS-HD.

Just like with most Mi TVs, this one too runs on Patchwall and the Mi QLED TV 4K in particular will support YouTube, Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, Prime Video, Zee5, Sony Liv and many more services. The software will have numerous key features such as Universal Search, Kids Mode, and Smart Recommendations. Lastly, it will feature HDMI 2.1, eARC, ALLM and AVV1 as well.

a rebranded Mi TV 5 Pro?

Considering what the Mi QLED TV 4K packs under the hood, there is a solid chance that the upcoming 4K television could be nothing but a rebranded Mi TV 5 Pro. For those who’re unaware, the Mi TV 5 Pro was launched in China with 55-inch display having a 4K resolution and ofcourse, Quantum Dot panel.

Are we really looking at a rebranded Mi TV 5 Pro? Well, we’re hoping get the answers pretty soon as we’re expecting the brand to reveal more in the coming days.
