Samsung did a stellar job last year by introducing a set of good competitive mid-range smartphones under its Galaxy A and M series. Now, the company is giving the first steps to introduce the 2021 round of smartphones. Nothing better than introducing sequels for its high-selling devices in 2020 – Galaxy A51 and A71. The company will unveil the Samsung Galaxy A72 5G soon and the first details about it are emerging. A couple of leaked renders revealed the Quad-Camera setup coming with the smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy A72 will bring a 64MP camera combo
The specifications weren’t initially revealed, but now a new report from the Dutch blog GalaxyClub claims that the Galaxy A72 will sport a 64MP camera on the rear. It will be joined by a 12MP ultrawide, 5MP macro, and 5MP depth sensor units. The 4G variant of the handset will come with model code SM-A725F, while the 5G version will come with model number SM-A726B. According to sources, both will probably hit the European markets. The LTE enabled version will be priced between 400-500 Euros whiles the 5G variant will cost between 550 and 600 Euros. We assume that another strategy will be taken for emerging markets. We expect Samsung to only launch a 4G variant in countries where there isn’t an operational 4G network.
Gizchina News of the week
Unfortunately, there still no word from Samsung about the launch of the Galaxy A72 4G and 5G variants. We also don’t know much about its specifications. The 5G variant will bring a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner embedded in it. The handset will be 8.1mm thick and will also come with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Since the Galaxy A72 is one of the higher offerings in the Galaxy A lineup we also expect it to come with NFC. The new handset is probably coming in 2021. For that reason, we believe it will come with Android 11-based One UI 3.0 straight out of the box. We also expect the device to come with a capable battery since the demand is growing for batteries of large size. However, we’re not expecting Samsung to be generous in the fast-charging technology.
Samsung Galaxy S21 series will debut in the next month
Samsung may use a January launch window for the new handsets. If that is the case, then January 2021 will be quite busy for the company. According to rumors and leaks, the company will unveil its Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.
