Leak: Redmi Note 9T 5G Is Set For Launch In The First Week Of January

Redmi Note 9T 5G is an upcoming budget phone for the global markets. We are expecting it to be a rebranded Redmi Note 9 5G that launched in China. As you know, three smartphones were launched in China including Redmi Note 9 4G, Note 9 5G, and Note 9 Pro 5G. The 4G variant came as the Redmi 9 Power in India. It gave us a hint that Xiaomi is going to launch all these three models in the global market. Now, we will be seeing the Redmi Note 9 5G launching as Note 9T 5G and Note 9 Pro 5G as Mi 10i in global markets.

The latest news for the Redmi Note 9T 5G has arrived giving us an idea for the release of this device. According to StuffListings, the Redmi Note 9T 5G is going to hit the global markets in the first week of January. Further, he says, he is not sure about the Indian launch. But it is likely that will see this phone hitting more markets. There is also a teaser from Xiaomi Malaysia hinting at Redmi Note 9 4G launching on January 7th.

Talking about the Redmi Note 9T 5G, we saw it recently on the GeekBench listing. It comes with a model number M2007J22G and was certified in Thailand and Malaysia. The specifications of M2007J22G matches the Chinese Redmi Note 9 5G. Let’s check out the detailed specifications below.

Gizchina News of the week

The smartphone comes with a 6.53″ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. There is no higher refresh rate on this phone. It has a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 48-megapixel primary, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro. The company should have given us a depth sensor since the macro is really awful especially in lower-end phones.

On the front, you will get a 13-megapixel selfie cam resting in the punch hole notch. It is really nice to see a punch hole notch. The POCO M3 had a teardrop notch and I believe we should not see teardrop notches anymore. Well, till now the smartphone looks nowhere special. But the highlight of the smartphone is its processor. It comes with MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G chipset. It is powerful yet comes with 5G connectivity.

There is a 5000mAH battery with 18W fast charging support. On GeekBench listings, we saw the phone with 4GB RAM. Now, believe me, I have used the Redmi 9 with 4GB RAM. Even with a powerful MediaTek processor, it is laggy. I hope the company launches higher RAM variants. Let’s hope this phone launches at an aggressive price tag. And if you are already interested, don’t worry, the phone’s launch is just around the corner. The leakster claims the launch to be in the first week of January, and if it does, it will be a new year gift from Xiaomi.
