OnePlus launches OnePlus Health App ahead of OnePlus Band

Huawei Band 2 Pro

Very soon a fitness bracelet from OnePlus will enter the market – the company is actively promoting its upcoming device. However, despite all the rumors, there is no official name for the OnePlus bracelet. Moreover, no one knows when to wait for its appearance.

Most interestingly, OnePlus has already prepared an app for managing the new product. Just yesterday, the company released an application with the simple name OnePlus Health in open access. The new app could compete for the title of the best fitness bracelet software.

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to install OnePlus Health on any OnePlus smartphone. One way or another, we can at least take a look at the appearance of the application using screenshots posted on the page in the Google Play Store. Trust me, they give a good idea of what to expect, as well as from who OnePlus got the ideas for its app.

The OnePlus Health app is just a ported version of the Oppo HeyTap Health app. Designs, fonts, and images all look the same.

Screenshots of the new OnePlus app show the expected capabilities of the fitness bracelet, i.e. the function of showing the number of steps, heart rate, etc. Also in the app, you can choose from several different watch faces that the OnePlus Band supports.

In any case, we hope that the new OnePlus app will run smoothly.

OnePlus Band To Come With 1.1-inch AMOLED Screen

OnePlus is developing a smart bracelet. We learned about the OnePlus Band from its official Twitter channel. Unfortunately, the latter did not provide many details about its specifications and prices.

However, this doesn’t mean that we are not aware of the key features of the upcoming smart wearable of the company. Recently, Ishan Agarwal and Mukul Sharma gave more detailed information on the smart bracelet. According to them, the OnePlus Band will sport a 1.1-inch AMOLED color display. It will support 13 sports modes. This bracelet has an IP68 dustproof and waterproof certificate and will provide a 14-day battery life.

The estimated retail price is about 2,499 Indian rupees (about $34). It will be launched in India on January 11. However, later, it will land in other markets as well. But in India, this bracelet will be sold through Amazon.

OnePlus Band Photos

In addition to the key specifications, we also can take a look at the promo photos of the upcoming OnePlus Band. They disclose all the design elements of this product. Say, we see that it has a variety of color combinations and they all use a ridged silicone belt design.

Judging from the exposed renders, the OnePlus Band adopts a design similar to the OPPO bracelet. The main body has a square design, and it uses a detachable silicone strap. At least, it is available in three different colors of black, gray and blue.

In addition, OnePlus founder and CEO Liu Zuohu also announced that it will launch the first smartwatch at the beginning of the year. It uses a more traditional prototype dial design and runs on the Wear OS.

Globally, this product is also expected to be unveiled at the OnePlus 9 series conference. As usual, the OnePlus 9 series will be officially released around March this year.
