3300mAh Philips Xenium W8510 boasts 35 days of standby

It’s a very simple task to go out and buy a high-performance Android smarpthone, but one which has enough battery to last a few days? Not so easy, well before the Philips Xenium that is.

The Philips Xenium W8510 has a 3300mAh battery, and 4.7-inch display not much else is known yet, but we do have some amazing battery life figures. According to Philips this phone is capable of 35 days of standby time or 14 days hours of continuous web browsing! Whats more if you charge the battery from 0% for just 10 minutes it will provide up to 20 hours of talk time!

Gizchina News of the week

We’re guessing with this type of battery performance we could be looking at a slower MT6589M quad-core or possibly even one of the new breed dual-core Medatek chips! Still with this much standby time the Xenium W8510 could make a great back up handset if the price is right!

I think it’s safe to guess that the line should have read, “14 hours browsing”. 😉

running 4.7 inch display alone for 14 days continuously with 3300mah is joke. Let alone 3g/wifi, cpu etc…

14 days of continuous web browsing??? Impossible!!!

Really… you should take notice of your poster.

He/she just seemed to thwart facts far flung to overblown.

14 hours of web usage (avg. norm) via WiFi. And NOT 14 hours of continous usage.

    Appreciate your corrections.

Also, another correction, “battery from 0% for just 10 minutes it will provide up to 20 hours of talk time!”

should be 20 hours of standby time and 2 hours of talk time. After 30 minutes charging 57 hours standby and 6 hours talk time.

Will not be the most up to date but honestly, i am fine having a bit slower phone i only need to charge every other day or less.

Do not compare Philips Xenium 3300mAh battery with average chinese phone ~3300 battery. Philips makes the best batteries, especially on Xenium phones.
