Huawei P40 4G Quietly Appeared On The Shelves

Huawei P40 4G

Today, it quietly released the Huawei P40 4G version on the official flagship store of Jingdong. Although it does not seem to have sold any one, it is out of stock. The machine is available in Frost Silver and Deep Sea Blue colors. The starting price is 3988 yuan ($617).

Huawei has two flagship smartphone lines. One comes in the first half of the year, while the other comes in the second half. The Mate 40 lone models were announced in late 2020. So according to the past practice, it’s the turn of the Huawei P50. Moreover, it should be announced long ago. But we know that Huawei can’t use any American product. So there is every reason to think this manufacturer will withdraw from the smartphone business. At least, we won’t see this brand in the top for a year. We hope the company will manage to make fully-Chinese SoCs and will return to the market in 2022 or earlier. Anyways, while we are talking about Huawei’s plans, it launches new products.

The product page shows that the machine is equipped with the HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC instead of the 990 5G chip. Also, the phone carries a 50MP super-sensing Leica triple-camera (16MP ultra wide-angle + 8MP telephoto). The latter supports 30x digital zoom and 2.5cm super macro shooting.

Other aspects seem to be the same as the standard version of the Huawei P40. Thus, our protagonist comes with a 6.1-inch FHD+ resolution OLED punch-hole screen. It supports DCI-P3 HDR high color gamut. There is also a built-in 3800mAh large battery, and the phone runs EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10.

However, this is not surprising for us (and for our regular readers) because earlier this month we already reported that Huawei is going to release a cheaper Huawei P40. That time, we even disclosed that the phone will sport a 4G SoC.
