While companies are trying to bring their Snapdragon 888 phone in the market, Nokia is still asleep. We do not hear a lot from Nokia. And it sometimes feels they are launching phones just for the sake of it. Anyways, Nokia 5 is still a popular one that many look forward to. Many of us want a clean experience and solid build quality, for those Nokia still remains on the list. Let’s talk about the Nokia 5.5 5G which hopefully will launch this year.
For now, we do not have much information. Although, we have gathered all the rumors regarding Nokia 5.5 5G and the possible specifications you will be getting. To recall, Nokia 5 is a budget-oriented smartphone. We saw Nokia 5.4 last year and it received mixed reactions. Nokia 5.4 came with Snapdragon 662, a 48MP Quad-camera setup, and a 720p display. Well, let’s hope we see improvements this year.
Nokia 5.5 5G rumored specifications
Nokia 5.5 5G on the other hand is expected to come with a 5G chipset. Most probably, it will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. I think it will be Snapdragon 480 5G or the Snapdragon 690 5G chipset. I hope they keep the Nokia 5 phone in at least Snapdragon 600 series and not take us to 400 series just for the sake of 5G. The phone will come in 4GB/6GB RAM with the option of 64/128 GB internal storage.

Expect a 6.5-inch display, most probably an IPS panel but this time with FHD+ resolution. The Redmi Note 10 lineup is switching to an AMOLED display and it would have been better to give AMOLED panel on Nokia 5.5 5G since Nokia won’t even give a higher refresh rate. We might not see major camera improvements this year. The smartphone may keep the camera setup from last year and feature a 48MP primary sensor. Although, on the front side we might get a 20MP shooter enclosed in a punch-hole notch. However, we are expecting a bigger 5000mAH battery this time.
Nokia 5.5 5G expected price & launch
The Nokia 5.4 came out in December last year. Although, there were reasons for such a late launch like COVID-19. We will see the Nokia 5.5 5G sooner this year most probably early H2 2021.
