Last month, Samsung rolled out the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 software update to the Galaxy A51 smartphone. The update was available in various regions or markets all across the globe. Well, the chaebol has now started pushing the second major firmware update i.e. the improved version of the third iteration. Yes! we’re talking about the One UI 3.1 update. It’s surprising to see the company pushing the update even though it has just seeded the major firmware to the device.
Galaxy A51 receives One UI 3.1 software update!
Samsung has now pushed the latest One UI 3.1 software to the Galaxy A51. The new firmware update carries version A515FXXU4EUC8. There’s no information related to the size of the update but we’re expecting to be on the greater side considering it’s a major update. With that said, we recommend using stable WiFi connectivity to download the software.
One UI 3.1 software brings a revamped or redesigned user interface along with several improvements and additions. The notification drop-down menu now has a dedicated Music widget allowing you to control various media by simply swiping left or right. The lock screen also has a bunch of extra widgets that you can use without unlocking your smartphone.

The new software version also brings the integrated Google Home Device controls from the devices option in quick settings. Since we’re on the subject of Google, the company has also integrated Google Duo call services. You can also remove GPS location data from photos and private share. Along with these, there are a bunch of other additions that come with switch One UI 3.1 software.
Apart from One UI 3.1 software, the update also brings the latest April 2021 Android security patch. This makes Galaxy A51 one of few devices to receive the latest patch update quite sooner. In fact, Samsung recently brought the patch to Galaxy S21, Galaxy Note 10 along with Galaxy Z Fold 2.
How to update your smartphone?
At the time of writing this, the update is only rolling out in Russia but we’re expecting it to make its way to other regions in the coming weeks.
