Huawei is doing all it can to offer more services to its remaining customers globally. Back in January at the Huawei Pollen Annual Meeting, a top Huawei executive, He Gang, announced that the company will launch the “My Huawei” App soon. Today, there is now information that the “My Huawei” App is official on the Huawei App Market.
According to the official, the “My Huawei” App integrates original independent apps. Some of these apps include the Pollen Club, Huawei services, gameplay skills, and membership center. However, the new Honor V40 series already comes with the “My Honor” app. This is simply the same “My Huawei” App but after the sales of Honor, the name had to change to “Honor”.

Huawei AppGallery has a new intuitive interface
Two years ago after the U.S. first placed the ban on Huawei, the company no longer had access to Google Apps. The company also does not have access to Google’s Services including Play Store. Without PlayStore, Huawei had to work and deploy its own store. However, its target is to ensure that users can find and download applications for its smartphones. The Huawei AppGallery solves this problem and it now has over 500 million monthly active users worldwide.
As of now, the gallery has two major sections – we have the “Featured” as well as “Categories” sections. The Featured category includes Apps and Games selected by the team. Furthermore, it has other content like articles, guides, and reviews. In addition, Huawei AppGallery editors will make the content focus more on local trends and needs. The list of countries that are going to receive this UI are:
CEE(Central & Eastern Europe) & Nordic region:
- Sweden
- Norway
- Finland
- Denmark
- Romania
- Czechia(Czech Republic)
- Poland
- Bulgaria
- Turkey
- Austria
- Lithuania
- Hungary
- Ukraine
That's all very well reading about their grand vision. But the reality is – Huawei has been unable to provide EMUI 11 upgrade and security updates in a timely manner for my Mate 20 Pro LYA-L29 (India) which is still on October security update and EMUI 10.1 !!
