First look at the Huawei P50 series camera design

Huawei P50 Series

Huawei will release its latest flagship series, Huawei P50 series in a few weeks. While we wait for the official announcement of these devices, there are numerous speculations regarding this series. This series will have at least three models including Huawei P50, P50 Pro, and P50 Pro+. Popular leakster, @TEME, recently released some images of the Huawei P50 series. Although he did not say which of the models this leak is, the images look similar to previous exposures of the Huawei P50 Pro. However, these renders are probably the Huawei P50 because it has a quad-rear camera setup.

The high0definition renders show that this device uses a “binocular-like” “dual-ring” rear camera module design. This is basically the same as the previous exposures. However, this latest image shows more details than previous exposures. In terms of camera arrangement, from the renderings, the Huawei P50 has a quad-rear camera setup. It also adopts a “3+1” camera layout, including 3 cameras above and 1 camera below.

On the rear, we can also see that this smartphone comes with one dual LED and ColorTemp sensor. Furthermore, a user (@alfawien) zoomed into the image and made out what appears like 13-90mm. This creates the speculation that the Huawei P50 will not come with a periscope camera. However, TEME believes that may have a periscope camera but with variable zoom.

Huawei P50 series speculation

According to speculations, the Huawei P50 series will arrive in May or June this year. The Huawei P50 will have three versions. While the Huawei P50 will use a micro-curved screen, the P50 Pro will use a waterfall screen. In addition, the Huawei P50 Pro+ will use a quad curved screen. All three models will use a center punch-hole design for the first time. This is also Huawei’s first flagship with a single punch-hole in the center. In terms of configuration, the Huawei P50 series use the latest Kirin 9000E/9000 processor as usual. The entire lineup will use Sony’s exclusive custom IMX800 sensor. However, the Huawei P50 Pro + will also have a liquid lens. Under the hood, the battery will range between 4200 mAh and 4300 mAh and it will support up to 66W wired fast charging and 55W wireless fast charging. On the software end, these devices will come with HarmonyOS out-of-the-box.

The Huawei P50 is expected to use a 6.3-inch screen with a new outsole main camera IMX707. In addition to the main sensor, there are multiple auxiliary lenses as well as an on-screen fingerprint sensor and a dual speaker (top and bottom).
