Honor 50 real images reveal its camera design and colour options


According to an official announcement from Honor, the Honor 50 series will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip. The latest information regarding this smartphone shows some real images of this device. From the images, we can see the different colour options for this smartphone. The images show that this device will be available in green-orange gradient, blue-violet gradient, and a color similar to Huawei’s Sky blue version.

Furthermore, this device uses AG matte technology and a 1+2 dual-ring triple-camera design on the rear. There seems to be a periscope as well as an outsole main camera + an ultra-wide angle sensor. According to reports, the Honor 50 series will have three models. In addition to the regular Honor 50, there will also be the Honor 50 Pro and Honor 50 Pro+. The Honor 50 and 50 Pro will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip while the Honor 50 Pro+ will use the Snapdragon 888 SoC. In the camera department, this device will use a 50MP main camera in a quad rear camera setup.

The Snapdragon 778G (SM7325)  is Qualcomm’s new mid-range processor. This chip uses a 6nm manufacturing technology. This chip uses 8 Kryo 670 cores (custom Cortex-78 cores) with a peak frequency of 2.4 GHz and an Adreno 642L graphics subsystem. The chipset should offer an integrated 5G ‑ modem Snapdragon X53, Spectra 570L ISP, Bluetooth 5.2, and Wi-Fi 6E support. Among the distinguishing features of the Snapdragon 778G, they note support for Quick Charge 5 fast charging technology with a power of up to 100W.

The rear camera module adopts a similar design to the Huawei P50 series. The camera design uses an upper and lower ring structure giving it a binocular-like appearance. Furthermore, the rear camera module of the Honor 50 series has a vertical alignment. While the regular model will have two camera sensors on the rear the other models will have three or four sensors.

The Honor 50 will have a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The battery should certainly be over 4,000 mAh and of course, there will be fast charging support. This new series from Honor will have an 11V 6A up to 66W or a 20V 5A up to 100W fast charge protocol. This is from a new certification on the Chinese 3C network.
