Actually it was just last year! 12 months ago we were looking at phones like the JiaYu G3 and UMi X1 with watering mouths, now phones with those specs are classed as entry-level devices!
Today’s Chinese Android smartphones boast up to 1920 x 1080 displays, quad-core processors, 13 mega-pixel rear cameras, increasing screen sizes and of course 2GB RAM! And it is this last point which we are going to concentrate on today with our list of top Chinese Android phones with 2GB RAM!

As with most of our ‘top’ and ‘best of’ lists, this list is in no particular order and each model on here, old and new, boasts top-notch features!
Voto X2
The more keen-eyed of you will notice that the Voto X2 looks a lot like the UMi X2 Turbo, well that is because they are actually the same phone. The Voto X2 comes in either black or white and either an affordable 1GB RAM 16GB memory option or top of the range 2GB RAM 32GB ROM version!

according to news, UMI was having issue with the previous manufacture – VOTO. and now UMI work with another company to produce their phone. But those phones which doesn’t meet UMI QC expectation… still with VOTO… and… (think by yourself)

Find 5 is still the best phone with 2gb ram in terms of built quality, OTA updates and availability for international customers. Moreover, you can get official CM support for this phone.

Yeah, great phone but a slightly smaller screen would’ve made it more usable. Nonetheless I’d still go for the Find 5 out of any of the ones mentioned. For me, only the Meizu MX2 came close.

Black or dark grey color, between 6.0 and 6.9″, Gorilla Glass, metallic frame, dual sim standby, more than 1.5GHz, 1080p, 2GB RAM, at least 32GB Rom, NFC, MHL, FLV, HDMI, above average wireless connectivity + 3G, proper warranty for customers outside China. And all that for less than USD 400 (including fast delivery by UPS or DHL to my address in Vietnam).
I don’t think it comes in the colours you’d like, but you should get yourself a Huawei Ascend Mate!
i’d say tcl idol x should place in some leading position in this rating.

It looks nice and stylish, but it’s got a rather dull display. Not as dull as the ZP950+ or Goophone i9, but still pretty dull compared to the JiaYu G4, Zopo C2, THL W11 and UMi X2.

It is the older TCL y900 that has been released as the Alcatel scribe hd outside of China. It’s only got 1 gb of ram and 6588 mtk. So its old and tired but they try fool everyone with a French flag. Don’t know why they have to milk it like that.

The only chinese phone that I know that has 900 band is ZTE, they have the V987 but only 1 GB Ram and MTK6589 1.2 Ghz.
In the previous generation of MTK phones with MTK6577 I found the ZTE V970 ( which I bought) to be the only phone with working 900 mhz band.

I wonder why no 4gb ram phones yet. How much is the actual cost of 1gb ram? 5 or 10 bucks? And this may be a dumb question, but is there any way to put 2 or 3 processors in one phone? I want to see something on the market from China that just makes your head spin, and knocks everyone on their ass in amazement. Don’t think the American companies don’t know they absolutely need to pull something out like that now if they want to fend off the hoardes of Chinese innovators that are pounding at the gates as we speak.
It needs an open kernel too so the devs can make it run ubuntu and show the world the raw power and what it can do. Kinda like that kickstarter project they had going that they couldn’t get off the ground. A bold move like that would really solidify the reputation and establish the true respect for the rising Chinese juggernauts.

Hi, I’m from Ireland (country filled with stereotypical overpriced smart phones) and i am very interested in purchasing a chinese brand android phone. I am awaiting a full review of the Zoppo 990…however, after seeing this list i am very confused as to what phone to buy!
By the way, why can’t they fit 8mp cameras in the front of phones if they are able to fit them in the back? why these crap 2-3mp front cameras?..Also do all these phones have HDMI? Whats the best OS?.. Sorry for all ye techies rolling their eyes at the screen reading this- i’m new to this stuff!..help a beginner out!

Actually she has Nokia N8 with 12 MP Carl Zeiss camera and I hope to find chinese phone with better camera than that one.
