iPhone 13 Pro

In a few months, Apple will officially unveil its latest iPhone series, iPhone 13 series. This series will have four models including the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. As the launch date for these smartphones approaches, we keep getting new leaks and speculations about these devices. Previous reports have revealed the appearance and internals of this series. However, the latest report on the iPhone 13 Pro series is in the camera department.

iPhone 13 Pro series Design Dummy Models

A new report from DylanDKT claims that the iPhone 13 Pro series will use an exclusive LiDAR scanner. This means that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will have this sensor. This may probably be the difference between the regular model and the Pro series in the camera department.

Recall that a few months ago, there were reports that the entire iPhone 13 series will use the LiDAR sensor. According to reports, the lidar scanner can measure the time it takes for the laser to bounce back after hitting an object, thereby generating a depth map of your space. They can also perform 3D recognition and distance perception of objects. This can significantly improve the capabilities of shooting and AR applications.

iPhone 13 series previous report

According to previous reports, the iPhone 13 series will still adopt a “full-screen” using a notch design. However, Apple will reduce the size of the notch for the first time since its introduction on the iPhone X. This will effectively increase the display ratio of the screen.

Not only that, the iPhone 13 Pro series will also use Samsung’s 120Hz LTPO OLED panel, support 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and bring smart refresh rate. The smart refresh rate will ensure that the refresh rate of the screen can automatically switch between 1-120Hz depending on the usage of the screen. This will be the first time that the iPhone will have a screen refresh rate above 60Hz. The smart refresh rate will ultimately bring a more power-saving effect for the new iPhones. There have been reports that the iPhone 13 series will support both Face ID and Touch ID dual unlocking schemes. However, it appears that this series will only use the Face ID unlocking like older models.

This series will come with a new Bionic A15 processor. It will also support Wi-Fi 6E technology, triple rear camera technology and will use a new ultra-wide-angle lens. The new iPhone 13 series will still have the mini model despite the poor sales of the iPhone 12 mini.
