Tecno Spark Go 2021 has arrived in Nigeria, and the device is loaded with some sufficiently good features and specifications. The Chinese smartphone maker launched the entry-level Spark Go 2021 in India earlier this month. Like its predecessor, Spark Go 2020, the handset runs on Android Go Edition and sports a big display, a 13MP camera, and a large battery.
The Shenzhen-based phone maker considers India as one of its key markets. Tecno has a reputation for launching affordable smartphones across Africa and Asia. The Transsion Holdings subsidiary made its foray into the premium segment by launching the Tecno Phantom series. However, it didn’t stop making affordable smartphones, much to the relief of budget-conscious buyers who aren’t willing to compromise on performance.
Tecno Spark Go 2021 Launched In Nigeria
The Spark Go 2020’s successor had nothing much to offer except for redesigned outward appearance when it was launched in India on July 1. The phone’s specifications were similar to its precursor. Now, Jumia and some other offline stores are selling Spark Go 2021 in Nigeria. The phone has gone up for sale bearing a price tag of N46,000 (about $113) in the African country.

It is worth mentioning here that Spark Go 2021 will set you back INR 7,299 ($98) in India. This is slightly cheaper than the Nigerian pricing. It can be recalled that the Spark Go 2020 was launched under the company’s entry-level segment. The smartphone is currently up for grabs in multiple colors including Orange, and Blue.
Tecno Spark Go 2021 Specifications
As mentioned earlier, the most notable upgrade over the Spark Go 2020 is the design. In other words, the phone has retained most of the specs of its predecessor. The phone features a textured back with the branding ‘TECNO SPARK’ placed under the camera lens. Furthermore, the Spark Go 2021 sports a 6.52-inch TFT IPS display with a Dot notch and HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) resolution.
The phone offers an aspect ratio of 20:9, but the screen is still encompassed by a thicker border. Aside from that, the screen offers a brightness of 480 nits, coupled with a pixel density of 269 PPI (pixels per inch). The rear-mounted AI-enhanced dual-camera module includes a 13MP main camera and a 0.3MP depth sensor. The phone has an 8MP front shooter for selfies and video calling. It can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.
The phone packs a powerful MediaTek Helio A20 chipset. It ships with 2GB of RAM and offers 32GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The phone’s 5,000mAh battery reportedly offers a standby time of up to 36 days. It runs Android 10 Go Edition with HiOS v6.2 on top. The phone comes with a rear fingerprint scanner and supports face unlock.
