The Acer Liquid range of phones have always failed to catch the attention of most customers, but could this all change with the 4k-capable Acer Liquid S2?
Acer will officially show off the new Acer Liquid S2 at IFA 2013 later this week, but they have already spilt the beans on what is possibly one of the most exciting phones to come from the Taiwanese brand.

Packing a huge 6-inch FHD Corning Gorilla Glass display, the visuals should be just as stunning as they are on the Zopo ZP990 Captain S, however performance is going to be a much more impressive thanks to a 2.2Ghz Snapdragon 800 CPU coupled with 2GB RAM.
The Liquid 2 also has a 2 mega-pixel front camera capable of 1080p video capture while the 13 mega-pixel rear can shoot in 4K Utra HD at an incredible 60FPS!
If that wasn’t enough the phone measures in at just 8.99mm thick with 3300mAh battery, 4G LTE and will accept 128GB SD cards!

This phone is going to be damn expensive …. despite having a really great spec and its 4K video shooting capability. Will likely cross the $600 mark 🙁
Great, they’re coming out with 4k screens on phones but I can’t buy a decent 30 inch monitor with 4k for under $5k.
Yes I’m exaggerating but 30 inch monitors are still very, very expensive.

for a second there i thougt u meant that it would have a screen resolution of 4K…meaning a ppi density of about 771..now that would be a good joke
Had same thing in mind while I was loading the page yesterday. Was wondering …. “4K resolution on a phone .. thats plain madness and thinking what kinda GPU will drive that insane resolution on a smartphone”.
