The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 has received Bluetooth SIG certification, indicating that the phone could hit the store shelves worldwide soon. The Chinese smartphone maker touted the Mi Mix 4 as its first flagship phone to house an under-display camera. Multiple reports suggested that the phone will see the light of the day in global markets. However, the phone made an appearance on the Google Play Console shortly after its debut.
The phone’s first official sale beginning on August 16. According to sales records, the flagship phone surpassed 300 million yuan (about $46.2 million) in terms of sales in just one minute. Much to their chagrin, many consumers were unable to get their hands on the Mi Mix 4 smartphone. On August 19, the Chinese tech behemoth announced that the Mi Mix 4 will go up for sale again, giving those who couldn’t purchase it the first time an unmissable opportunity to acquire it at 4999 yuan (about $769), according to MyDrivers.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 Gets Bluetooth SIG Certification
After surfacing on Google Play Console, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 has appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification website. If the listing is anything to go by, Xiaomi could be gearing up to launch the Mi Mix 4 in the global market. The Chinese version of the Mi Mix 4 was assigned model number 2106118C. Now, the same model number has received a green light from the Bluetooth SIG authority. As expected, the listing reveals some key details about the handset’s global version.
According to the listing, the device will come running on MIUI and offer Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity support. It is worth mentioning here that the Bluetooth certification does not necessarily imply that the phone is headed straight to global markets. However, you can’t rule out this possibility. The Chinese version did not come with GMS (Google Mobile Services) because the country has banned it. In other words, Xiaomi didn’t need the Google Play Console certification to launch its devices in China.
