Google Pixel 6 may be introduced the day before the iPhone 13 show

Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro Charger

In August, Google officially confirmed that it will launch the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro this year. It was expected that the full announcement of new products will take place in October – the traditional time of Google presentations. According to the latest leak, the company is ready to unveil the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro ahead of schedule.

According to one of the insiders, the announcement of the new generation of Pixel-phones will be arranged on September 13th. And so it may happen that the premiere of new products will take place a day before the release of the iPhone 13 series. It turns out that Google chose the date of the presentation for a reason and wants to ruin Apple’s party?

It so happened that this year the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro can be ranked among the most anticipated new products. The reason for the increased expectation lies in the new design of the devices and Tensor’s own chipset, where the main emphasis is on artificial intelligence. And also a new camera and a telephoto lens for 5x optical zoom will appear with the smartphone.

And one more feature of the Pixel 6 series devices is Android 12. By the way, if the forecast for the release of new products on September 13 comes true, then Google will present a stable version of the twelfth iteration before the release of smartphones or simultaneously with their release.

Google Pixel 6 smartphones will use Samsung 5G modems

Samsung will be the supplier of 5G modems for the next-generation Google Pixel flagship smartphones – Pixel 6. This will mark the first victory for a Korean manufacturer in this segment of the US market; which until now has been dominated by solutions from Qualcomm.

Earlier it became known that Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones will run on their own processors Google Tensor; for the first time ever, the search giant abandoned Qualcomm chips. Moreover, Samsung will be engaged in the production of new processors. The Korean company has also been selected as the supplier of 5G modems for these devices; Reuters reported, citing two of its own sources.

The Korean manufacturer is one of three companies producing communication modules for fifth-generation mobile networks. The remaining two manufacturers are Qualcomm, the leader in this segment, and Taiwanese MediaTek. Samsung’s 5G Exynos modems are widely in use in the Korean manufacturer’s flagship smartphones sold in Asia and Europe; but the US versions have long used Qualcomm’s solutions.
