DJI launched three new drones over the past year, but still no new Mavic Pro, its flagship. In the second half of 2020, we were entitled to the Mavic Mini 2, before arriving this year with the new Air 2S and then the powerful DJI FPV (the brand’s very first FPV drone).
Now it looks like the new third-generation Mavic Pro, which is expected to be called Mavic 3 Pro, is rumored to be released in November. The second generation dates back to August 2018. Serious improvements are coming.
Mavic 3 Pro changes
DJI should put the package on its drone reserved both for the general public and for professionals. The point on the rumors is mainly allowed us by the estimates of the specialized media DroneDJ as well as the very well informed Jasper Ellens on Twitter. Sketches of the future device are available. Not to be taken as a reality of course.

Gizchina News of the week
In the menu of possible changes, DJI would add two cameras instead of one on the Mavic 3 Pro. The drone would end the dilemma of the previous model, available with a classic lens and the Mavic 2 Zoom with its 24-48mm telephoto lens. A first model would have a larger sensor with a focal length of 24 mm and the second would go up to 160 mm focal length for a true telephoto rendering.
According to Jasper Ellens, these sensors could go up to 5.2K videos. The photos would be taken in 20 MP and 12 MP respectively between the main sensor and the telephoto lens. The main sensor could have an opening ƒ / 2.8 (and up to ƒ / 11). The weight shouldn’t be too much compared to the Mavic 2 Pro, at 920g (just 12 grams heavier).
As for the range and autonomy, information is still lacking. Jasper Ellens believes DJI is preparing to launch two different versions of the Mavic 3 Pro, one of which will be called Mavic 3 Cine and go even further in features and accessories. Its range would be 15 km, against 10 km for the old Mavic 2 Pro.
The last #Mavic3 images for todays #bigleak. Just for fun a simple explanation how to charge the #DJI directly from USB-C.
A nice ending of this exiting day.

Mavic 3 Pro price
Finally, the prices. In this regard, DJI would make sure not to increase the prices of the old model. The Mavic 3 Pro would be available from $ 1,600 in the United States and € 1,449 in Europe. The Mavic 3 Pro Cine model would inflate the $ 1,000 note to show up to $ 2,600. At that price, it would be entitled to an integrated SSD, a Lightspeed 1 Gbps cable and a new version of the DJI smart controller with improved OcuSync video transmission.
