Still riding high on the success of the Moto Edge 20 series, Motorola is gearing up to launch the Moto E40 smartphone in India. In other words, the company is on the verge of bringing another budget smartphone into the Indian market. After several months of speculations, Motorola introduced the latest entrant in the Moto E series dubbed, the Moto E40. Now, the Lenovo-owned Motorola has confirmed that the phone is headed to India.

As mentioned earlier, Motorola has confirmed that the Moto E40 will launch in India on October 12. A teaser page for the budget smartphone has gone live on Flipkart. It seems safe to suggest that the phone will be available via the e-commerce site. Moreover, the Moto E40 specifications, design, and a myriad of other details have been teased. For instance, the handset is tipped to come with a triple rear camera setup. These sensors will be aligned vertically.

Furthermore, the phone appears to feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Aside from that, it is likely to come with a hole-punch display. The cutout will occupy the top center of the screen. Taking to its official Twitter account, Motorola India recently confirmed that the Moto E40 will launch on October 12. Aside from that, there’s a dedicated microsite on Flipkart that mentions, “Moto e40 Coming Soon.” As expected, the phone’s specifications and design details have also been revealed.
Design, Price & Specifications
The E40 will come with an eye-catching display that adopts a hole-punch design and offers a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 400 nits. Under the hood, the smartphone will pack a 1.8GHz Unisoc T700 octa-core processor. Aside from that, it could ship with 4GB of RAM and offer 64GB of onboard storage capacity. Moreover, the phone has a dedicated button for summoning Google Assistant. A robust 5,000mAh battery will be powering up the entire system.
The battery will deliver Web browsing of 10 hours, video playback of 14 hours, and music streaming of up to 76 hours. The phone will house three rear-mounted cameras including a 48MP main camera, a dedicated macro vision lens, and a dedicated depth sensor. The primary camera adopts Quad Pixel technology. As a result, it can deliver 4x better low light sensitivity for crystal clear photos. For additional security, the phone comes with a fingerprint sensor with Face Unlock.
On top of that, the E40 has an IP52 rating for water resistance. The phone runs the Android 11 operating system and offers an unparalleled bloatware-free and ad-free experience. Furthermore, the dual-SIM smartphone comes with a dedicated microSD card slot that comes in handy for expanding the built-in storage up to 1TB.
