A recent report stated that Chinese smartphone maker Vivo’s V21 5G will be available in a new hue in the coming weeks. Today, Vivo has mentioned that this new color variant will go by the name of Neon Spark and will launch on October 13.
The tweet from Vivo teases the new Neon Spark Vivo V21 5G, with the new hue adding to other color options such as Dusk Blue, Arctic White and Sunset Dazzle.
Additionally, going by the teaser, it seems that the device will only feature a color difference, with other specifications and features remaining the same as the regular Vivo V21 5G.
Vivo V21 5G: Features and Specifications
To repeat, the Vivo V21 5G makes use of a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of FHD+ and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The device also has a 44Mp front shooter with dual-LED flash.
Towards the rear is a 64MP primary shooter with additional lenses which are an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP macro sensor. Performance-wise, the device relies on a Dimensity 800U SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

To add to this, the Vivo V21 5G boots FunTouchOS 11.1 on top of Android 11 out of the box and draws power from a 4,000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Security-wise, there is an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Availability-wise, in India, the V21 5G is available in two different storage variants, with the base variant featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which retails for Rs 29,900, while the higher end variant with 256GB variant is available for Rs 32,990.

In other news, Vivo recently launched the X70 Pro and Pro+ in India with up to 12 GB of RAM. The Vivo X70 Pro comes in three storage configurations with the base model having 8 GB of RAM. The 8 GB + 128 GB variant costs around INR 46,990, and the top variant goes all the way up to INR 52,990.
The Vivo X70 Pro+ is the top-of-the-line smartphone here. It comes with a 6.78-inch 2K AMOLED E5 display with a 120 Hz refresh rate support. The device also has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
It has a center-aligned punch-hole for the 32 MP selfie camera. The Vivo X70 Pro has a smaller 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. The device carries the Dimensity 1200 SoC instead of the Exynos 1080 of the Chinese variant. It has up to 12 GB of RAM.
